Shimano Ocea Jigger 2021 4000HG Overhead Reel

An overhead reel for jigging, bring the latest addition to the OCEA JIGGER series – the size 4000, on your deep sea and off-island expeditions. In addition to being able to hold up to 1200m long of a PE 3.0 rated line, the outer diameter of the palming side of the reel has been made smaller and this makes the reel much more comfortable to hold. The 4000 size retains the solid construction and winding/cranking performance of the JIGGER series. The drag force can be more precisely adjusted with the large star drag on the reel.

Technologies:

INFINITY DRIVE – Rotational resistance is reduced by 60% due to a complete redesigned Pinion Gear Support structure, improved drag clicker mechanism and a reduction of the reel’s total resistance.

HAGANE BODY – Made of highly rigid metals such as aluminium and magnesium. Weight has been greatly reduced while reel flexure, warp and distortion has been eliminated, allowing for smooth reeling with little power loss.

MICROMODULE GEAR II – The most advanced tooth designed evolved from Shimano’s unique manufacturing technology. In our pursue for the ideal tooth shape, we’ve redesigned the teeth of the gears right down to the tooth’s surface. Gear noise has also been reduced while improving reeling smoothness.

X-PROTECT – 6 times more resistant than Core Protect, X-Protect utilizes a labyrinth (maze) structure and water-repellent treatment to prevent water from entering the inner areas of a reel.

S-ARB – Shielded Anti-Rust bearings are similar to A-RB, but feature additional shields for the ultimate protection.

S COMPACT BODY – Compact body design to reduce weight and allow for better grip and leverage while fighting a fish.

EXCITING DRAG SOUND – This audible and high exciting sound which occurs when a fish runs is a modern alternative to the traditional clicker or ratchet.
